On the other hand, for those explorers who show a deep interest in the history of the city and would like to cover as much as possible during their stay, we have prepared a Strenuous itinerary.

3 DAYS

DAY 1	Strenuous
09.00	Meet and Greet by a MaxiBaltTours official representative at the terminal. We will be waiting for you with an official sign right after the Immigration area. For more details about disembarkation please see our VISA-FREE Disembarkation briefing
09.00 - 12.00	A tour of Catherine's Palace. This summer residence is located 15 miles away from the city and on the way your personal guide will tell you about the history of the city and the Palace itself. While on the tour you can enjoy the beauty of the Gala interiors, including the Amber Room!
12.00 - 13.00	Drive to Peterhof, where you also will be able to enjoy a break for lunch. Your personal guide will recommend you a selection of restaurants and cafeterias, all according to your preferences.
13.00 - 16.00	A guided tour of the Peterhof Garden and an inside visit of "Catherine's Block": this small residence will give you an idea of a typical living interior of the 18th century. In the gardens you will see many spectacular fountains each with their own symbolical meaning.
16.00 - 17.00	Drive back to Saint Petersburg with a metro ride along the way, giving you a chance to observe one of the deepest metro's in the world with magnificent stations.
17.30	Back to the ship or JOIN OUR OPTIONAL EVENING PROGRAM

DAY 2	Strenuous
09.00	Meet at the terminal
09.00 - 12.30	City tour including all the main sights of the city: Nevskiy Prospect, The Spit of Basils Island, The Neva River. At the end of the tour we will visit St. Isaac's Cathedral. During the tour we can make a stop for souvenir shopping.
12.30 - 13.30	Time for lunch.
14.00 - 16.30	Guided tour of the Hermitage Museum. The museum is ranked among the top five Art Galleries in the world and the collection is so big that one could spend an entire year at the museum, while only spending a mere 10 seconds at each piece of art. Our professional guide will concentrate on all the highlights of the collection, but those of you who wish to see it all can stay. We will pick you up in a year!
17.00 - 18.00	Take a refreshing Canal Tour to get the best pictures of the city from the water. Please be advised that if there are less then 6 passengers in your party, you may be joined by others for the boat-ride with English commentary.
17.30	Back to the ship or JOIN OUR OPTIONLAL EVENING PROGRAM

DAY 3	Strenuous
10.00	Meet at the terminal. You worked really hard the other days and deserved your reward of an extra hour of sleep
10.30 - 12.30	Visit the Yusupoff Palace, the most mysterious place of the city that still keeps the myth of Rasputin and his murder.
12.30 - 15.00	Continuation of the city tour with inside visits of the Peter and Paul Fortress and the Church on Spilt Blood.
15.30	Back to the ship.
