Reviews › Wonderful whirlwind day & experience of St. Petersburg - Costa Pacifica

We came on Costa Pacifica and only had 1 day tour to explore St. Petersburg. MaxiBaltTours made sure we used every moment to the fullest.

Alexei, the owner of Maxibalt Tours and Irina, our guide for the day, were at the dock waiting for us after we passed through passport control early in the morning. Our group for the day was only 8 persons, which made everything more personal than a large excursion from the cruise ship.

We enjoyed the brief stop at the metro, and the hydrofoil ride along with stops at the Hermitage, the Church of the Spilled Blood, Peterhoff Gardens and Catherine's Palace (including the Amber room). Tho' each stop was brief we had the opportunity to see as much as possible in a very short time.

Prior to our stop in St. Petersburg, Alexei was very responsive and answered my phone call in spite of the fact that it was midnight in Russia when I called (it was my error, not to realize the 8 hour time difference between Russia & the USA).

Irina, our St Petersburg tour guide spoke excellent English and has an incredible knowledge of everything we saw.

What a wonderful day! St Petersburg has so much to see that we will have to come back and spend a lot more time.
